Join Susan Thesenga, assisted by Anand Crossley, for a private weekend intensive designed for one couple at a serene cabin in Madison, Virginia.
The intensive will include a deep exploration of the dynamics which inhibit the full flow of love between the members of a couple. These include exploring the projections each has on the other, and learning to open with curiosity and respect to who the other actually is behind the projections. The assumption is that the love that brought you together can be rekindled and the eros of discovering the depth of another soul (and one’s own) can be awakened.
Susan’s fifty-year grounding in psychological and spiritual work (The Pathwork) will be augmented by Anand’s experience working with interrelational energy dynamics and embodiment as a path for healing.
Susan Thesenga has been a therapist and spiritual teacher for the past fifty years, teaching throughout the United States and Brazil. In 1972 she and her husband Donovan co-founded Sevenoaks Retreat Center, near Charlottesville, Virginia, where she still lives. She has published two books: The Undefended Self is a summary of Pathwork teachings about the nature of spiritual reality and personal transformation; Love Unbroken: From Addiction to Redemption is Susan’s intimate account of her ten-year journey with her daughter through addiction and their unconventional path toward healing and renewal. Susan was married for 54 years before her husband transitioned in 2023.
Anand Crossley is a Professional Studies Graduate and a Certified Workshop Leader with the Barabara Brennan School of Healing. He runs a healing practice from his home in Charlottesville, Virginia and sees clients in Washington, DC and beyond. Anand has a background in physics and astronomy and uses his scientific training to study, understand, and work with the human energy field. Anand also produces 5Rhythms classes and workshops year round with his wife and deeply appreciates the role that embodiment and movement play in the healing journey.
You and your partner will stay in a private cabin on Susan's property adjacent the Seven Oaks Retreat Center. The cabin, while still needing final trim work, is fully functional, with a full kitchen, large bathtub, outdoor shower, and access to a hot tub and outdoor pool. Three dinners can be provided by Susan’s family, if desired. Participants would need to bring towels and any other food desired.
The intensive is scheduled to begin Friday evening, September 12th and conclude Monday morning, September 15th. Some scheduling flexibility exists to meet the needs of the participants.
The cost for the intensive weekend including lodging for 3 nights is $2,000. Prepared dinners, if desired, will be an additional charge.
